With The American Apparel Halloween Party not being held this year (guess its cause they're going bust) I headed down to 'Halloween Carnival' in a warehouse on Commercial Road E1. It was a great night, the DJs were all on point, a good mixture of music genres but I especially loved the large amount of house & old school garage, and the entertainment gave the event the extra edge.

Can't wait till next the party! PROPS to the 6fiftynine crew!

*****Disclaimer: Not all photographs taken by me, The Wondrous Nic Bam ran off with the G11 for 5 minutes and took some of the great photos above- All hail Nicholas!******

Brick Lane Saturday

I took my old converse collection down to brick lane to set up shop and make some pocket money while freeing up some space in the wardrobe. I sold 3 pairs but then spent all my earnings on bagels and a wax Barbour jacket. I guess every little helps! x

Ten/Ten/Ten

Gauguin @The Tate Modern

Reported to be the most successful art exhibitions by ticket sales alone; I was rather disappointed by the Gauguin exhibition. I must admit I wasn't very familiar with Gauguin's work before I attended, but once I observed his work I left feeling like I was really missing something- I don't understand the hype, and I'm not really a fan. Women of Tahiti is really what he's famous for the rest of the exhibition was bulked out by random framed sketches and odd pieces of work.

I've decided to give him another try when not so hungry and when theres a lower attendance - both could have impeded my viewing experience. But on my first impression Gauguin is not for me.
