MOVIE REVIEW: BROKEN EMBRACES (LOS ABRAZOS ROTOS)

***Disclaimer Penelope Cruz is one of the most beautiful and captivating woman I have ever seen. In this movie she become your drug as well as all the characters in the movie. Your eyes are hooked on her and your persona actually makes you fall in love with her. I have warned you***

This is a real film, a homage to of the old black and white classics. A spanish subtitled film, the main character is a blind writer who reminiscences on a sequence of events which changed his and many others lives. Amazingly beautiful and intriguing direction and a wonderful script. I would watch again. It is not a thriller, or an action, or a rom-com, it is a visual telling of an interesting story with great acting, there are no juicy twists or underhand message, it is simply a captivating, enjoyable and beautiful movie.

Oscar nominations are a complete definite!

While in Paris I was hanging with the AmazingBen of Black Rainbow- A shop you always got to visit when in Paris.

He showed me the Paris look book which I f'in loved so thought i would share.

I also got a sneak preview at the NYC one, WHICH IS BEYND AMAZING! And I'm fingers crossed using my powers of persuasion to get the boys over to make a UK one! Hi Hi

MOVIE REVIEW: 500 DAYS OF SUMMER

Although seeming like a chick flick (which I detest) last night I went and had a gorgeous Japanese meal then followed it by this beautifully great movie.

Its a story of "Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love. Girl doesn't"
A relationship; the beginning the ups and downs and The End. It draws reference to feelings and decisions we have all felt or had to make sometime. However it differs from the usual hollywood love story, its real.

For me it was a rather uncomfortable viewing as it seemed to to be almost exactly the same as a long term relationship I had been in. Like even things they said! IT WAS WEIRD! In my situation I shared the same views as Tom Hanson-believing in love, and the person I loved carried the same views as Summer Finn, being a free spirit and not really believing in love.

I don't want to spoilt it any more so check the trailer below and go watch it at the cinema!
